Nash Community College Reports Enrollment Growth for Spring 2026

Nash Community College is reporting strong enrollment growth for the Spring 2026 semester, reflecting continued momentum in student access, engagement and institutional outreach efforts.

This spring, 做厙輦⑹ welcomed 3,054 students, representing a 6.3% increase in headcount compared to the previous year. The college also recorded a 6.7% increase in full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollment, an important measure of overall student participation and course load.

In addition, 284 new students enrolled at 做厙輦⑹ for the Spring 2026 semester, demonstrating sustained interest from first-time students, returning adult learners and individuals seeking new or expanded career pathways.

These enrollment gains speak to the confidence students and families have in 做厙輦⑹ and the value we provide, said Dr. Lew K. Hunnicutt, president of 做厙輦⑹. We are committed to expanding access, strengthening academic and workforce pathways, and ensuring students have the support they need to succeed.

College leaders attribute the growth to flexible scheduling options and targeted recruitment efforts and a strong emphasis on student support services.

The increase in both headcount and FTE enrollment reflects students choosing Nash, said Dr. Wendy Cook, vice president of student services at 做厙輦⑹. Our teams in marketing, advising, admissions and student support have worked intentionally to help students enroll and stay on track.

做厙輦⑹ remains focused on building upon this momentum while continuing to serve as a primary driver of educational opportunity and workforce development for Nash County and the surrounding region.
